Warranties cover manufacturer defect of your machine. You will need the following information for your warranty claim:

Proof of purchase-- i.e. sales receipt or credit card statement
Showing:

• Date of purchase
  
• Name, address, phone number
  
• Vacuum brand, model number, serial number
  

Your claim will be filled out at the time you drop off your machine. Your signature is usually required as well.

If you cannot find your receipt, some companies allow a grace period according to the manufacturer date in-coded into the serial number.

Warranty repairs do not cover regular maintenance and cleaning of machine, broken belts, clogs, bags or filters. Some companies have minimum coverage for brushroll failure and broken fans. Length of warranty coverage varies from company to company. See your owners manual for specifics.
