You'd never consider not changing the oil in your car, or the belts. Well, your vacuum is a motorized machine that needs some maintenance as well. For it to perform at it's best, the bag should be changed often, as well as filters and belt(s). If you have pets - you're asking your vacuum to do even more. Pet hair can easily clog your machine and deplete the airflow it is normally capable of.

With a basic service once a year your vacuum can live a longer life and do a better job for you. We have over 19 years of experience of maintaining and repairing virtually all makes and models. Below are some tips that can help you get the most out of, or rather INTO, your vacuum.

Vacuum Tips from the Vac Doctor:

• Change the bag regularly
  
• Check filters - clean or replace when dirty
  
• Clean off bristles of brushrolls regularly - clean under the end caps too!
  
• Replace flat or round belts every 8 months to a year - even if it isn't broken
  
• Geared belts can be used longer
  
• Don't vacuum up anything wet! If the manufacturer specifically states that your unit is a wet/dry - ok - but follow the directions for picking up any liquids. WATER and motors don't mix.
  
• AND - get a check up once a year!
  

We are a warranty repair station for the following brands: Eureka, Sanitaire, Royal, Oreck, and Miele. For the warranty process to proceed smoothly a proof of purchase or sales slip is required. In some cases the machine may have been a gift and a sales slip is not available. Some manufactures have a date code built into the serial number and allow warranty repair based on that date code.
